Meet The Band

Marcus Peña
Marcus PeñaMusical Director, Vocals, Guitar
A Broadway-bound actor/singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist musician who is perhaps also equal parts producer, director, writer, and lyricist.
A product of the pentecostal church and the New York Salute to Music program, he has musical experiences that have graced the stages of Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, The MetLife Building, Broadway Comedy Club, Broadway Brunchtime Series, and other great performance-settings.
Marcus has directed worship at: Second New Bethel Baptist Church (Winston-Salem, NC), Faith Weslyan Church (Bronx, NY), and Damascus Christian Church of Hunts Point (Bronx, NY).

CeceliaNicole is a vocalist whose freedom is defined by her artistry. Her creativity and passion engulf every note and lyric as she seeks to deliver a message that resonates and resounds in the soul of everyone who hears her. A skilled and consummate professional, CeceliaNicole has to offer- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Understanding that as long as she stays on her journey, she’ll always have something to sing about.

Self-taught musician, Hector Gatica, has surpassed, impressed, or matched every player he’s come across, striving everyday to master his craft, finding new techniques, or playing to a genre most won’t bother to try. Learning from listening to greats like Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Mark Litierri (Snarky Puppy), Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Santana, and Jimi Hendrix, he’s developed an ear like no other and will stand toe to toe with just about anyone he comes across.

Chris Conte

Chris Conte is so pleased to be a regular member of the ECC Music Ministry! As an electric bassist, he has worked extensively in show bands and musical theater productions. Highlights include National touring to all 48 Continental States as the showband bassist with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus and double bassist with Irving Berlin’s “I Love A Piano.” Chris lives in Westchester County, NY. In addition to being a bassist for hire; he leads his original funk project, “The Phunk Philosophers” and American Songbook Jazz groups for fine private functions and clubs.

Briana is a singer-songwriter local to the NYC area. Her music is acoustic soul, influenced by the likes of Lianne La Havas, Corrine Bailey Rae, and India Arie. The subjects of her songs range from love to systematic oppression, as she aims to inspire social change with her music. Others have called her music both eclectic and revolutionary, with a roots/americana feel. Most importantly, she loves to sing praises to the Lord!

Dennis is a multi-talented local musician in the heart of NYC City. His influence came from the church playing at the age of nine years old. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the NYACK College School of Music. Dennis studied Jazz, Classical and Gospel music.
He believes that music is a powerful tool used to express ones feelings in many different ways. With his roots in Gospel and Jazz, it has given him a love and deep passion for bass guitar playing. During times when he is free Dennis teaches as well. All in all he loves to use his gift in furthering the God’s work.
Jade Holmes

Jade joined ECC’s music ministry in 2014, where she played an instrumental role growing the music team. Prior to ECC, Jade was a singer in a church band in her hometown, Columbus, OH. She sang her first solo, “Silent Night”, at age 7, and delivered her first sermon as a pre-teen.
Trained for church leadership, Jade served as an usher and a Drill Instructor for her local youth ministry. She organized and executed numerous music programs for children in Ohio. Jade enjoys uplifting others with her voice and has performed for churches and groups in the NY tri-state area.
Since graduating with honors from The Ohio State University, Jade has worked in the nonprofit sector, university administration, and corporate sales. She is currently a Community Organizer and looks forward to a long career serving the Lord through public service and music.
